Veteran Service Center Volunteer Receptionists

Volunteers are needed for AM (9am-1pm) and/or PM (1pm-5pm) Receptionist shifts, Monday through Thursday at the Denver Veterans Service Center. Volunteer Receptionists will serve as the initial point of contact for veteran clients and guests visiting or calling the Veterans Service Center (VSC). Responsibilities include handling an active phone system, welcoming clients and their families, and directing clients to appropriate staff members, case managers, and other veterans’ service organizations with offices at the VSC. The position requires basic office skills and duties, such as internet and computer navigation skills, data entry and filing. Spanish skills a plus. Volunteers will be trained by VSC staff in the operations of the VSC. Volunteers should be comfortable working with the homeless veteran population as well as the general population of veterans.
